Website Sitemap Generator

A complete sitemap is the foundation of any website rebuild, SEO audit, or 301-redirect map. Without a reliable list of URLs, you cannot quote the work, plan content migration, or keep search traffic flowing after launch.

Enter a site URL above and Rapid301 will pull declared sitemaps (including nested ones) and crawl the site over HTTP to build a reviewable inventory you can export and reuse.

Why Generate a Sitemap?

Use this tool when you need to:

  • Understand how many pages, collections, and locales a site really has
  • Prepare a URL inventory before quoting a rebuild or migration
  • Feed clean sitemaps into the bulk 301-redirect workflow
  • Spot orphan pages and broken links early

If you already have Screaming Frog (or similar) exports, you can skip the crawl and use the Sitemap CSV → 301 Redirects tool instead.

Multi-lingual & Locale Sitemaps

Multi-lingual sites often split URLs by language or region (/en/, /fr/, /au/, and so on). Generating a full sitemap makes those locale trees visible so you can rebuild equivalent routes and map redirects correctly.

For a deeper playbook, read the ultimate guide to migrating a multi-lingual website.

Merge Discovered URLs

Declared sitemap.xml files are useful, but they are often incomplete. Rapid301 can also crawl HTML links found on the site.

Turn on Combine current and scraped URLs into sitemap in Settings when you want one merged inventory. Leave it off if you only want the URLs already listed in the site's sitemaps.

Note: the crawler is HTTP only and does not execute JavaScript. For heavily JS-rendered sites, crawl with Screaming Frog first, then upload the CSV.

Next Steps After Your Sitemap

  1. Review the generated URL list and export what you need.
  2. Use Migration Analysis when quoting a rebuild.
  3. Map redirects with Site Scan → 301 Redirects or Sitemap CSV → 301 Redirects.
